Projects '30 coupester cowl, '29 roadster stantions

    Ran out of oxygen while removing another '30 firewall... jumped over to a cut down '30 closed car cowl, good sub floor extensions...

    rudimentary clearance cuts...

    angle and depth to be fine tuned... going to build a piece to fit tightly inside the stantion…
    weld it to the cowl and then weld and grind the outside edges...
    bolt on the stantion...
    wanted to leave the stantions untouched but looks like it won't happen...

    don't want to but I may have to trim off part of the radiused trailing edge to better blend to the door jam...

    Bent up a chunk of 18ga. steel that will form the cowl post for the stantion to bolt to...
    now to make a mirror image...
    empty stantion...

    .mock up... whole shebang must move back the thickness of the stantion and the anchor to let the thing set flush...
    had to modify the stantion a little...

    Will be following.. I have a 31 truck cowl would like to change the stantions..
