Yeah everybody should check out the Wrecking Crew movie. I think it says that Brian was in the control booth and had given the Crew the basic outline of the song and they woul, under his direction, flesh it out. Then the rest of the B Boys would learn how to play them.

Dennis Wilson drag raced a Cobra a few times until Capitol Records said no more. Al Jardine had a 58 Vette also I believe. The 409 was actually a 348 x3 from what I heard.

I hear that LDS is really potent, and can mess you up.

LSD isn't too good for your brain, either.

The Beach Boys played Friday and Saturday nights for Cruisn’ the Coast in Biloxi, Mississippi for I don’t know how many years in a row however are not scheduled in 2019. My wife and I have gone probably five or six times and it is always a good show. Several times they asked for a show of hands about how many had brought cars and mentioned they had been out and about looking at cars during the day.

  6. If you were a teenager living in the South and played in a band the Beach Boys songs were a staple on the play list, some of their earlier music had simple cords but their music really became pretty complex as their music matured.

We even wore the surfer type shirts, but there was no sand or surf boards in sight! :D HRP

A documentary called the Beach Boys, An American Band. Although this film was made back around the mid nineties it is a great window into life and times of the Beach boys and has some pretty cool cars and vintage footage in it as well. As far as Mr. Morrison goes, the Documentary People are Strange or A Feast Of Friends which was filmed as the Doors toured and some say it was made so the film crew could keep an eye on the volatile Morrison and made sure he made it to gigs on time and if at all.

Sorry to correct my last post The Beach Boys An American Band was Released in the eighties not long after Dennis Wilson's death drowning in a boating marina.

  10. Sad that Dennis died by drowning, I suppose drinking and swimming is just as dangerous as drinking and driving. HRP

He was drunk, diving to the bottom to recover some things he'd tossed over as his yacht was being repossessed.

  12. The girl that was to become my wife and I saw the Beach Boys very first public concert at Pacific Ocean Park. The boys are still making music, and 55 years later, we are still married.

The Beach Boys were banned from playing on the Washington Mall by Ronald Reagan’s secretary of the interior, James Watt, on July 4th 1983. They attracted “the wrong element” and he opted for a “wholesome” program with Wayne Newton.

I don’t care. They’re still my GO-TO CD when I’m in the shop doing car stuff. Wayne Newton’s not even on the radar.

Yep, never been found, SAAC have no record of the VIN ever appeared in their records at any time. And it was a '67 GT500 not a '68 (had the narrow set aux lights), and was in rare Nightmist Blue with Parchment interior, one of only 20-something made in that colour combo.

Who is the And? No, it wasn't the Who.. the And? Wait, what?

Yeah Glenn went on tour with the Beach Boys when somebody got sick. Campbell was another Wrecking Crew studio musician.
