Event Coverage Forty Ford Day - Anaheim CA 2019

This is an annual show here, been going on for years, always the first Sunday after Fathers Day. So we get to do the LARS and then the next week is the Forty Ford Day. While the stars of the show are all the 40's that show up, they actually accept all makes, pre-72. There must've been a couple of hundred cars all together. Here's some of my shots from the show.

Thanks some nice cars there. That 36 3W custom coupe in last set my favourite.

 

So many beautiful cars there, but yeah, that one was gorgeous. Here's a couple more of that one.

I actually didn't get to the whole show. We had some friends that showed up, and we sat underneath a tree in the shade and talked for a few hours. There was another quarter of the show I never got around to seeing. I think I missed some great cars too. Oh well, it's nice to sit with friends on the grass under a tree and talk, in the middle of a bunch of great cars, it was a great way to spend a Sunday.

 

So many 40's in one place. That show is a 40 Ford hotrodders paradise! I hope to make it to that one before I die. Thank you so much for posting these pictures. Its the only way I get to see this show right now.

 

Yeah, me too. That red 39 coupe with wide whites ticks all the right spots for me, that one is pretty special. Also, a 63 Vette split window fuelie coupe, that's pretty cool too. Or that 36 that hudson48 pointed out, that's another one at the top. But I haven't even posted the trophy winners yet. Hold on.

 

Come on out for LARS some year and stretch the trip out for an extra week. Let me know and we can meet up.

My apologies if some of these are too OT, the over sized billet wheels on some are unfortunate. In a show like this there are a lot of non-HAMB friendly cars that show up, along with many that fit here very well. I'm trying to stick to those that meet the guidelines.


This one may be pushing the boundaries, but damn, this is out of Art Chrisman's shop, it is exceptionally well done car.

 

This one was too cool, I had to give it more space. Sorry about taking up the bandwidth, but I hope it's worth it.

Carl's is still there, but I don't think anyone cruises it. I think the corp headquarters moved out of state. We were going to get a burger at Carls, but ended up cruising down Anaheim Blvd to Tony's Deli for a late lunch.
