Yeah boy..... To bad the old fella let it sit for all those years when he could have been enjoying his car.
Thank you Jeff, there are not enough video's like this. But he didn't sell it, he knew right were it was and like a lot of us he probably thought someday I'm going to fix that old car up, Fortunately his family did it for him. HRP
Don't get me wrong it's a cool video and it's awesome that his kids got it going for him to drive. The pleasure in the old fellers face driving his car is what made me comment.
I often wish my dad would have held on to one of his cars so my brother and I could do something similar. I really wish he would have stored back either his 59 T-bird convertible or his 65 Vette...
very Cool - we should all be that fortunate to live that long and in that good of shape and have the family support
What a great story! I wish my dad was still with us to do that for him. Sadly, he died several years ago after suffer a massive stroke. The good thing is that I still have his El Camino that he bought 52 years ago. I still drive it and think of him every time I do. It wa his baby and he loved it. He would have been 99 in September of this year. You guys deserve a medal and congratulations for doing that for your dad! That video is a treasure for sure!
I posted it early this morning on one of Facebook Ford Groups and it is on the way towards 200 "likes" hopefully this video will inspire some folks to help fulfill their Dad's dreams.
That video put a big smile on my face. I was watching, thinking what a lucky man he is. Then I realized that the family is so lucky to have each other, too. Thank you for posting this.
Very special. Almost brings a tear to the eyes. My Dad loved and drove his old car up until his passing. It's mine now and like Deucmac said earlier, "I still drive it and think about him every time I do".
