Anybody have any info on this sleek one in the post above...all dusty and decked out in flattish paint running with the best of them?...

...A stunning survivor buried in the archives...it had a real interesting channel among many other one of a kind styling cues...

Owned now by a Hamber @bscottstudio...Happy Birthday...That's how I discovered this gem...;)
It was returned to a more Traditional style Hotrod...the saving grace was all the former details removed or changed out were retained to return it back to it's former Hybrid Custom/Hotrod config...IF someone down the road should consider...interesting thread on it below...

It actually has fender treatments similar to the Chrisman Coupe that appeared on Dobie Gillis in the 60s...

  17. The last time I saw this car was probably 25 years ago, maybe longer. The Oakland museum had a display of Hotrods and Customs, and this car was there. Still the same and still owned by the same guy. Not sure what happened to it after that as the original owner builder was getting up there in years, so unfortunately I would have to say he's moved on. Hopefully it stayed in the family, and it would be really cool if the original owner builder hadn't moved on yet. Just an outstanding car, and that display of cars at the Oakland Museum was one of the best I've ever seen.

I so wish this was more common my way but if I can't see it in reality the pics will suffice...You were fortunate to visit one of those Vintage shrines of the past...and it left you with a permanent memory...That says something and that's why I keep searching for what was...and yes many both material and human element have departed but your right some continue to do the walk...and its always an honor to shoot the shit with them...

Wow, imagine being in that crowd, or better yet, behind the wheel - fun stuff.

Pendine or the more vintage events? There are so many and each paved the way to today's movement...so many interesting Hotrods/Hybrids...yes it must have been something to be there as you said in some compacity...

It always makes my day to read of any that slip through the many turns that could put them into smelters and turn up in today's daylight...sometimes with the original owner right along side it.

I got to see that show too. Something about the History of Hot Rods. I have the printed program around here somewhere. Isky's roadster was there and several other milestone cars.
