Do any of you notice there are no heavy people in old pictures? I noticed that before about 1970, I never see a fat person in pictures, my hobby is watching people and it can be very interesting sometimes. Especially interesting to note how much our lifestyles have changed in just a few short years.....
Johnny Mantz in (I believe) 1949. This was an Agajanian Kurtis and the photo might have been taken at Williams Grove (although I'm not sure; Jim Nise may know for sure). Mantz also drove this car to 7th in that year's 500 Mile Race and went the entire distance non stop without a single pit stop.
Indyrjc, It isn't Williams Grove but I don't know where it might be. I Would bet Trenton before it was asphalt. I never was at the dirt mile, but was there for the first Asphalt race.
Reminds me of The Christmas Story execpt it's not, you'll shoot your eye out" but, "you'll poke your eye out" HRP
Nonsense. There were plenty of heavy people in the 30'-70's. Don't try to sell that one to anybody who had family members and relatives who were not photo models.
