I need to run a hydraulic clutch on a project because mechanical linkage is practically an impossibility. It would be so much easier if I could find a pull type master cylinder. Doing a google search I only come up with one in some foreign country.

  2. It’s reversing the linkage.
Bell cranks do that without fuss

If I knew how to post a meme it would be the old guy from Napoleon Dynamite saying, "I didn't understand a word you just said."

He's saying use a regular master cylinder and make a lever for the end that turns the pull motion into pushing in the master cylinder. Picture how a rocker arm turns the pushrod pushing up on it into pushing the valve down on the other side. Same idea.

Just order a small dual acting hydraulic cylinder (Parker will have a whole catalog of options for you). Vent the Cap side, plumb into the rod side, and add a spring return, if necessary.

Your handle implies knowledge of farm equipment, so I am sure you have a shop / store near by that handles hydraulic actuators and supplies. I am sure they can help you out.

It probably is, I just grabbed a quick Google image to illustrate my point.

  10. Google reversing linkage and it will be more beneficial to understanding ,,,, there are all kinds of cool things to learn and adapt into your project

Wilwood makes forward mount or reverse mount MASTER cylinder setups. Why can't you use a normal master cylinder?

There are also push and pull type slave cylinders, Wilwood makes them, too. CNC also makes them.

A picture or 2 of why you can't use a normal master cylinder would sure help people help you out. You have a clear picture in your head, all I have are voices in mine....

  16. A sketch or picture of what you are trying to accomplish would sure help? What make/year vehicle, trans, master cylinder etc? I pull with a stock brake rod in my AVATAR.

Why not just use a cable from the pedal to clutch arm. Lots of cars had them.
