Cool build! This is really something different than usually with these cars.

Not much done lately. I have welded a couple days on it, but not very noticeable. Did some paying upholstery jobs which included one complete interior in a 48 Plymouth.

Then life got in the way...my son (43) was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. So it’s been an up and down few months helping him with his family and appointments. After a couple surgeries we found out a week ago that he is now cancer free and no chemo or radiation needed. He has to get put back together in a couple months when everything heals, but right now we’re very thankful. Happy to have him on the mend and glad to help with anything we can. God is good.

So the Ranchero will continue and when some real progress shows I’ll be sure to post it. I just finished reading this whole thread and it does fire me up to get back at it.

    Stay tuned.

Got a chance to do some welding. Formed, fit and welded in the rear drip rail on the left side.

Slowly doing some more welding and finally put some wheels and tires on the rear. They’re a little small, but will eventually go on the front. Need some decent 49/50 caps for them. All I had laying around were the 60s so put one on.

Hit a local car show today and spotted this. From the looks of the framed photo it was built back in the day.

Left side welded, ground, and stripped. Now turn it around and do the right.
