I love old, survivor cars. Congratulations on the score. As some of the folks on here remember, I experienced a similar find. May I offer a couple of photos to “inspire” you to keep the car? I’ve installed a dropped axle, new tires & wheels, converted it to 12 volts, and gotten it running. Best wishes, whatever you choose.

Thank you, sir. I’ve not yet washed my car - other than the wheels & running boards. My car hadn’t been out of that basement since 1977 41 years.

Your Chevrolet looks great. I’ve turned down some ridiculously high offers for my car. I’d have a difficult time turning loose of your car, as well.

Welcome to the termite club. Nice find, they make super rods, need to get mine on the road again, chopped the top and after getting the top fixed, never put the rest of it back together. I roll it around in the garage ever now and then.

Finished cleaning the paint a bit, now onto getting it running/driving. I'll post up some more pics in the next few days.

Dad and I were just having that conversation a week or so ago. It was over a '34 Plymouth Cabriolet found just a mile from my house. It had been in a garage for years...nice, solid complete car!

UPDATE! This old car now runs, drives, and stops. Runs great, drives good, clutch works perfectly, shifts nice, etc. Definitely original miles! Been driving it around the neigborhood...first time on the road since the early 60's. Oh yeah, horn works, as well as all the instruments. Need to put a top in it and get the lights working.

Sweet. I'm amazed at how many old cars are still being found in barns, garages, and sheds out there.

Put a metal top from a 2009 Impala. Used the back 1/2 and trimmed to fit. All the compound curves were perfect and it dropped right in with no shrinking the edges...no nothing. Fit like it was custom made. Sprayed it with bedliner to mimick the canvas. That’s a nice car. My dad had a 33 and my uncle had a 35. I would love to find both of them back.

Yep, that's what I'm thinking! Besides, need to redo my '55 and work on my cabriolet.
