When I was walking around a corner at the local car show I saw that from about 200 ft away and yeah it does look just Spot On...they really work with the torpedo shape...

He had a generous supply of interesting vintage parts for sale too...

My Sport Coupe had them when Jerry built it originally...polished though...

I wonder how Edward Lloyd is doing with his clones of

    More Candy...think Board Track Racing...Yeehaw!!

Found this pic online and I'm going to attempt to make one by hand, I don't have a Bridgeport or anything like that just my hand tools and me.

I've had this cap for sometime and know it's for a Chrysler but don't know what year. I saw the post on here that has one from 1928 but this is a little different. Any ideas? IMG_2489.JPG IMG_2490.JPG IMG_2491.JPG IMG_2492.JPG

That's a beauty @pumpman...Here is a 1925 on a somewhat Pristine Vehicle and it seems to be very similar...I will say that 1924 is also very similar but the base of the cap looks a wee bit different...

...notice the cap is incorporated into the graphic on the Spare Cover...

Thanks Stohy, that really helps. I’ll take some pics of the base and load tomorrow.

Sorry no need, because this 1925 is identical to yours...what I'm saying is 1924 was similar but not like yours.

  8. I think the 1924 Chrysler cap was nickel-plated brass and the 1925 and on were nickel-plated cast pot metal with brass threads. I could be wrong.

The ornament part and the cap or just the ornament?...

When I have some time I'll snoop through some of those patents and see if I can spot it...And do I see another open Rad Hotrod in your future @BigO?

A lot of these were Add-ons and literally required a hole to be drilled in the cap...

And this one is kinda special...

Standing in a Castle Keeping his feet Warm...:D...I'm looking at this and thinking about The Knight and what the Artist was trying to convey Visually...

Most of these are incredible to look at and truly Art Pieces...The Cars are too...so it's a win win. Thank You Cobber...
