Here are my 2 Mercs count me in. 4 door is just a parts car. Started on the 2 door but progress is slow at the moment. Working on the rocker panels now then chopping the top. Possibly going to put a Jag front end under it.

'55 Montclair. 8 rows of louvers in the hood, nose, deck, door handle removal, all 1/4 panel stainless removed, factory skirts, Lee's tail light lens's and a mild chop! Gonna keep the 292 but replace the Merc-o-matic with a 700 R4.

  16. When it comes to Kustom 55-56 Mercs, it's really hard to beat Topper's black and white one. I'll see if i can find some pic's.

It's sectioned from the front wheel back. So the height of the front bumper is the same as the rockers.

Here’s my 39 I designed with Kevan Sledge. It’s under construction at Sledge Customs. We’re going for a late 48 early 49 look. I couldn’t be happier with the way it’s shaping up.

  19. Add the before pic! I like seeing the difference. Kevin does great work. Hope you're staying with the original color? Look great!

Merc club help! im looking for replacement springs for the hood hinges on my '55. The only place i can find them are on MACs and they are 'temporarily unavailable' i called and they said they are 'looking' for a new supplier, so no faith they will become available in the near future, if ever. Anyone have any idea where i can find a set? or other make/model/year that use the same springs?
