  4. I got my 36 in 79 and it hit the road in 84, my best man and maid of honor drove it in my wedding procession in 90 and it will be right there for our 36th anniversary. It is the second car I've owned (first one was a 65 PONY car) and will also be the last, this one is a keeper. Mitch.

I’m not far behind you on this ! Don’t give up !
Although I have driven it and made a few changes, mine is not legally on the road and not quite finished.
Sometimes there are other things more important to deal with than old cars.
Maybe we could start a new thread on how long some have been waiting for that first drive?

Owned the wagon for 25 years and it’s been on the road the whole time except when it was down for paint n miscellaneous for a little over a year. My 2 month repaint took a bit longer than I wanted...

my brother's 33 chev 5w, bought in 1965, that's 54 years, same basic drivetrain since then, switched from 3-spd to turbo 350 in early 70's, repaint in early 90's, minor upgrades throughout the years in winter but never enough to take it off the road for the summer 2017-06-28 23.00.16.jpg

ZERO, But it is fun watching the others drive around. Still have the '30 Ford Roadster body I found in 1962. Working 13 years in a restoration shop gave me the pleasure of working on some of the finest cars in the world, seeing them in museums or on the show field sure beats driving something I may own.

15yrs now for my 35 Chebby after a 4yr or so build. My 46 Olds has spent more time in the shed than anything I've ever owned except my house and Chebby!:(

Hot rods tend to come and go about every 5 years or so around my place. This is summer #7 and we started this year off with just over 50,000 miles on my 48 Plymouth coupe, its nearing the longest run and the most miles of any of our hot rods. Gene

I bought my original car in 1949. It has been split into 2 cars. (with additional parts)
A Bonneville modified roadster that will run at the salt again next year and a 30 2 door parts chaser that I drive a couple times a week.

The Hudson finished in 2005, the Riviera had about 13 years and the roadster first registered in 2012.
