Technical 38 Chev truck door handle prob

Passenger side.





pushed in....



Note how far the handle pulls out (chrome at base). Its almost .5" if I had to guess.

Why does the handle have this much in/out play? Should there of been a spacer that is missing? Driver side doesnt have anything close to this much runout.

Look at the drivers side mechanism, compare it to the passengers and see what is different.
