    Hello,
Last week, while wandering around trying to find the exit to the huge Lions Dragstrip Museum/Automobilia building, my favorite aisle of the 50s-60s hot rods had something new and exciting. One of the latest additions to the Price Transfer Automobilia Collection, on display, is this great looking 1946 Ford, custom convertible. It was beautifully finished and is a true custom car that fits into any 50s-60s style era.

Having been to the Price Transfer Automobilia Museum Collection many times, this is a one of a kind convertible. In the museum, the 1946 green convertible stands out among ALL of the cool 50s and 60s hot rods and customs. Even though, it is in a row of remarkable hot rods and customs, it does its thing and makes you look at it.

It is a must see if you have never seen it before at other shows. It is quite a remarkable transformation from the stock convertible. This 1946 Ford Convertible has quite a history in the automotive world. In staring at the custom, green convertible, one cannot imagine it starting out as a 1946 wide Ford convertible. It is a custom job well done.

“This is a stunning, one of a kind 1946 Ford convertible lead sled custom in amazing condition inside and out. It is a true show piece known as "Green Envy" and was previously owned by the country music legend "Buck Owens" of The Buckaroos. The car was finished in 1999 and was shown at the Grand Nation Roadster Show in 1999 in San Francisco, CA where is won the coveted "George Barris Kustom D'Elegance Award". This car was built the true old school way and is all steel with amazing lead work. It was built using all vintage components, which includes a 1957 Thunderbird 312ci V8 engine mated to a C4 automatic transmission. This has been featured in magazines, hard cover books and won many car shows!!”

Built by Bill Ross and owned by Bill until it was sold to Buck Owens. Home built in his shop in Yakima Wa. Very talented builder.

I’d like to see this with two more headlights next to the turn signals.

He was the Kustom Grill Master. It would be kool to find one for sale. Maybe at a garage sale and I could afford it.
