For comparison, John St. Germain's coupe is said to be chopped 3" in front, 3 1/2" in the rear.

The coupe in question appears to have a bit more rearward (neutral) taper.

I guess that's what you do when you Studebaker C/K coupe is horrifically rear-ended...

Any more views of this...um, er...interesting creation? I'd especially like to see front and rear views.

I kind of like this car from the side. But I'd like to see more of it, especially the front and back. The front fenders look off ahead of the wheels.

    Thanks Mo
Not crazy about the front, but really like the rear view.

  22. Always love pictures of Moonglow and the various clones. Such a sweet custom. The white version is probably my favorite of the cars various stages.

For such an icon, Duane Steck's "Moonglow" was truly driveway-built.
I remember reading how Duane and his brother burned their hands while heating the Plexi- rear window in their mother's oven.

Below is an early shot, before the rear bumper was lowered and the exhausts routed through it. The work was performed over a crude outdoor pit (i.e., hole in the ground), at Lindy's Muffler Service. The striping is by Larry Watson.

@Taboo56Chevy I agree with ya, surprised we don't see it copied more often.
