It’s only a 40%-50% chance Friday and Saturday.
    We’ll be ok.

Cool, saw my car in that video...my avatar 51 shoebox. Been going up there since 1998. Such a wild time...worth getting up each day at 2:30 to get in line. Gotta love the whole experience.

Accuweather's forecast looks better than weather.com's forecast so that's the one I'm goin' with.

Gave up that early morning ,wait in line till hell freezes over shit years ago . Cruise in about 8 through the back gate , turn left onto Randall and park along the center of the boulevard. Basicly down near where Titus parks in the big lot. In 26 years I have seen plenty of rain, has not dampen my enjoyment of this event one bit! I will make a point of checking in with you guys at 1 o clock on Saturday. I am not as scarey as I look lol . Larry

I got my rear end back from rebuilder today. Needed some differential parts replaced. I almost regretted digging into it this close to BTTF but that clunking was worrying me. [IMG]

We never get up at O'dark-thirty for the power parking. We also park down on the boulevard, sometimes even finding a nice shade tree.

And, a BTTF's weekend without rain is very rare. Of the dozens I've been to I bet I could count on one hand the times we haven't been rained on during our weekend.

9B473B65-4206-4CAF-9B03-B8CE5D7201EF.jpeg I’ll be at my Mom’s memorial service during the Saturday meet and greet, but if you see my truck this weekend stop and say hello. We usually park kitty corner from the haunted house on the south end, by the pioneer woman statue.

This is outstanding seeing some of the cars that will be at the 50's. Made it here yesterday. Detailed the car today.
We're heading to a show with our hotrods tonight. There is a Cruise-in at the Minnetonka Drive-in tomorrow night as well, then Fri, Sat, Sun we'll be at the Fairgrounds.
The weather today is absolutely gorgeous...mid 70's and lots of sun. I will try and post some photos from tonight...however most of the cars will not be HAMB friendly (going to the Autoplex)Lots of Ferrari's, Lambos and vintage race cars. Hopefully there will be some vintage Ferrari's as well...they're pretty damn cool!
Just gave my car a quick "once over" inpsection. Time for 5 days of car shows!

Didn't the cattle barn roof collapse last winter? That's where the auction's at isn't it?

Building marked “Q” at the bottom of this pic is where the auction will be. The building that collapsed is farther west (left) image.jpg

We park in front of the sheep poultry building and the auction is kitty corner to the southwest of us. That makes it the cattle barn. According to the map.

Drove down Snelling a while ago. The campground is filling up with old cars and old campers, the north lot is already full of motorhomes.

I don’t know if it’s called the cattle barn, but it was the building immediately west of the Coliseum had the roof collapse from snow. Crews were clearing out the debris when I unloaded for the GSTA show in April. Cars were entering the west end under the breezeway between the buildings.

I grabbed a map at registration tonight, it lists building Q as the Classic Car Auction. That building is directly east of the Coliseum. It probably got moved due to the circumstances.

Enjoying this years BTT50's. We're kicking it off a little early this year. Just up the road from us is the Autoplex. They hosted a small car show tonight so we cruised over to enjoy some cars. The place is insane. It's a gated garage community. You buy a garage (sizes vary) and build your "dream man/car cave". Lots of the garages had well over $1 million in cars. I'll post photos of the HAMB friendly stuff. (But the exotics were out of this world wild)

Check online for construction updates. As of Sunday Larpenter Ave on the north side of the fairgrounds was down to a single lane from Hwy 280 east to Snelling.
The Energy Park exit off Hwy 280 was going to be under construction this week.

I got her back on the road tonight! The difference with a quiet rear end, and new shocks all around is like night and day. [IMG]
