  6. Slightly out from under deadlines and commissions, just long enough to bang out a couple of sketches.

  7. It’s a Ranger aircraft engine alright. This one was used in an early Hydroplane. Look close you’ll see a picture of the boat it was in.

    Hello,
In the old days of comics before elementary school, there was the lovable Archie Comic Books. Little did I know that whole teenage “Archie”scenario was going to be a lifestyle for many teenagers and their high school escapades. We read almost every one of those early comics. The old saying of: “learning to read in elementary school” has validity, as we learned the right identifying steps to success.

But, those comic books played a very big part in all of us learning to read and practicing when we were little kids. No one certifies that it was a true fact, but the massive amounts of comics in all of our lives did something… The characters, Archie, Veronica, Betty, and Jughead are all prominent in the teenage scenario.

Archie, Batman, Blackhawk, Superman, Plasticman, and Bugs Bunny were our favorite comics. But, Archie was the most “real life-like” and I am sure that is why we all associated with those comic books.

In our modern times, a new version of the old Archie Comic books has been adapted for TV viewing. It has taken on a different approach to what we knew as the “Archie” lifestyle. But, it is a television mystery. It has a cast of very interesting characters. The teen/adult drama showcases what the modern version of the old Archie teens would look like in the present time.

Now, in its third season, up pops up a scene of a hot rod that Archie and his dad had built up over the past summer. A fenderless, 1929-30 Ford Phaeton, SBC and cool headers. It is better known as “The Jalopy,” in subsequent episodes.
upload_2019-6-14_3-6-14.png A definite “period correct” hot rod.

Season 3 ended with a good series closure. But, just recently, it has been renewed for another year.

nice start gang. The opener with the old general store, post office, living quarters upstairs, is pure small village nostalgia. Love Jiggers 59 Impala with the Custom touches. Dago's cool truck in front of the iconic Carrington is perfect. That speckled breast Robin is a young one out learning the ropes! Ahhh, my Friday art fix is shot up and I feel the rush, thanx kids Then my bro posts up some monsters on bikes Rothesque art. hot damn, cool Gary

For Father’s Day my daughter made this for me, it’s for a college class she is taking. She sketched my 41 using an original 1950’s light box from Disney studios. [IMG][IMG]

A Father's Day gift like this from a daughter should immediately get framed and hung in your office or den. You should be proud.:):)
