Developed for Chevrolet by Smokey Yunick (hence the SY1 part number) and licensed to Edelbrock for production. High rpm intake, comes alive at about 3K but have read of these being run on the street successfully with the right combination of parts. Basically a tunnel ram that fits under most hoods. Lots of info and tech out there. This is new old stock out of a closed speed shop, even has the bolt package for the top still wrapped in the plenum. Do not have the gasket but Edelbrock still makes them.
