He was actually playing with the idea that he was "ICE FISHING". Only thing that says he was not ICE fishing is the fact he is shirtless and wearing shorts.
Congrats Jeff. I've been a few miles in the ol green Chevy myself, but never farted in the seat. I just wanted you to know that. Glad you are the new caretaker. Sent from my SM-J327V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Bob and I spent some quality time together many different times. I was wondering if he might leave it to Lamb but I'm not sure if he's still kicking...was pretty ill last time I spoke to him...he and his wife were cruising with Bob and his missus when I met him.
I bid the ever-loving crap out of the auction, and packed a van tight end to end and floor to ceiling. Luckily Mr Cheater showed up at just the right time and some of my junk hitched a ride home with him, or there wouldn't have been space. I'll probably make a new thread because I'm going to need help IDing a lot of stuff. One thing I got was a pretty good sized collection of Bob's personalized plates, although the HAMB one was not in there anywhere. Bob's valve cover collection must have went to someone as well, which is nice if the collection stayed intact, although I blame Bob for getting me hooked on collecting valve covers now. I did manage to get one cover from Bob, along with a wax can, which seemed appropriate.
Rock, Unfortunately we lost Larry Lamb 9 years ago. Besides missing Bob - Larry is another friend I miss. Bob and Larry were quite the hit the road guys.
I’ve missed seeing Larry’s granddaughter driving the ‘40 vert the last couple years. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Miss you Bob ! The 52 has 2 of my valve springs . Bob broke springs going to the NATS in Burlington VT. years back . I had 2 Chevy 350 valves in my tool kit that were same as his springs he replaced them at show. Why I had them I don't know.
