This was six weeks ago, life being what it is. There was a small crop of traditional-style hot rods at the 2019 South African Street Rod Nationals, held in Cape Town: Interesting removable hardtop on this one.
The overoptimistic personalized plate is because this 'glass '34 body is sold here, with a 'glass Deuce shell, as a '32: Point this out to the manufacturer at your peril. This one is neatly turned out, though.
Deeks have long had a following here: For many years I really wanted an Opel Rekord series A 2-door with a SBC in it. This one appears to be stock:
Thanks for the pictures! Can't say I'm a fan of the Green coupe's tire size selection. No sidewall rears don't go with the front sidewall. Not a fan of the dubs.
Thanks for sharing! Looks pretty much like an average US-car show here in Germany. That Rekord is really nice and the RR truck has the best wheel and tire combo of all, hahhaa. It coule be a cool car with a little love. Some cars really have a nice stance and are probably very well built , but then someone ruins it with a bad wheel or paint choice.Or late model door handles...just because they try to be different. Yesterday I drove my 40 Ford to a car show and someone asked me, when I´d put rims on , airbag and M2 it.... WTF??? I just answered I liked it just like it is. I know, the the taillight bulb was bad. Haha The DKWs two strokes are a rare sight here, I´m surprised they have so many fans in South Africa.
Thanks for the pics.....always interesting to see what is happening around the world. That Stude truck is way OT, but very cool!
