Back on Oct 21 I posted "Looking for this car" and received a response from verde742 that he saw this car in Chandler AZ. He was right on! Another friend found it on the Internet for me and I bought it today! The link below is my original post. I bought this car in Hastings, NE in Aug of 1971, had to cut 7 small trees down to get it out of it's resting place. I had the car running (in primer) in time to attend the 1972 NSRA Street Rod Nationals in Detroit, MI. We registered about 25,000 miles in 18 years. The car was featured in Street Rodder in September 1975 issue and was on the cover of Hot Rod's Rod and Custom quarterly No.6 in 1978. I owned the 36 until selling it in 1989 to a man from Santa Barbara, CA. It changed hands 2 or 3 times until it was sold at Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale January 97 (lot# 352). I lost track of the car until a friend found it for sale in Mesa, AZ. While we owned the 36 2 of our children rode home form the hospital in it and my oldest daughter rode home from her high school graduation. When I retired from the Navy I left the ceremony riding in this car. Lots of memories! I want to thank verde 742 who gave me hope and my friend, Tom who found it for me again. Now time to enjoy it again!!!https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/looking-for-this-car.1126485/
