Looks like it would be hard to put to put your boat in the water with it sideways on the trailer.

 

The trailers rotate flat so that a crane can lift them up and into the water.

I used to love watching those hydro's being towed to Mission bay in the 70s . I could hear them running on the bay from my folks house about 8 miles away

 

Great show, the band in front of miss bardahl was a great addition. I was amazed that they were rebuilding 2 old hydros in the back of the museum.
