It's great to see old-timer's still in the game.
    Russ Meeks' Ford...

Graybeards will remember Russ Meeks' sectioned Nomad, built in the Sixties.
(It's another classic that is still with us!)

Among his many other builds was John Corno's 1972 AMBR Award winning, rear-engined, reverse-tilt bodied, full-fendered Model A roadster. .

Saw it or its twin at the Twin City Idlers show last year in Stanwood, WA. It is one of those ideas that sounds great until you see it in person. At least that was the general consensus

  19. I've seen the Rivvy headlights grafted on a few cars and the only one that looked like it "might" work was on a mid to late 60's Caddy ragtop

This is Ted Leventhal's recreation of the car he had built for him in 1955!
Hence the name "the LAST HURA".

The Mel Pinoli paint job on the original car (below) is widely held to be the first ever Candy paint job!
(Bailon is famous for his Candy Apple Red.)

Looks like the original may have been more olive green, or it could just be discoloration of the old magazine image.
