I have a set of real nice M/T BBC valve covers, bought them a little over a year ago for my sedan, put them on and the Harland Sharp rockers won't clear. I checked on spacers and they want a $100 and up for them. I bid on several sets before I got these for $110, I found cheaper ones but they were in bad shape and had extra holes all cut in them, if they were nice they were going for $150 and up. I ordered a new set of finned alum ones and put these on ebay. I started at $100, they have new breathers and groments in them, and with 2 days left I don't see much interest. I found 2 other sets on there for $195 so I don't think I'm to far off. I'll put pics of them so someone can give me an opinion, I got around $130 in them now and was kinda hoping for once to get my money back. May end up as garage art.

So you'll hang them on the wall for a $130 loss rather than sell them for a $30 loss? Look up "fallacy of sunk costs."

Maybe the Made in China is keeping you from getting what you want. Not vintage M/T covers.

The china M/T's I've seen never looked this good. That's why I included a pic of the baffle, I've seen on here that they used different baffles on different years. As for selling them for $30 and loosing a $100, yes I'll hang them on the wall. If they are china ones it'll make a good reminder not to buy another set like them. I hadn't had a set in 40 yrs and they were sbc so I guess I screwed up.

I’m sure someone would probably buy the new China Summit set for $167.00, before paying $100.00 for your used china set. What Was The Sayin. They are “Worth Whatever You Can Get Out Of Them”. Good luck with your sale.
