Hey thanks alot! I actually removed the 7 leaf model a spring and went with a model t spring to get it to sit a little lower in the rear. When i built the qc i used the same 1935 bells with model a spring hangers welded on. It must just be the picture.

So im still plugging away at this thing. Slow and steady wins the race right? Anyway got the dash and doors back on, the body sprayed in epoxy, block sanded and straighted a few dings and dents. Reprimed with some high build, waiting to get blocked again.

Been working on the chassis as well. Brakes finished and plumbed. Engine and trans in and torque tube coupled up. Got it sitting back on the tires. I am running 16” wires right now, but ran across a set of 17 and 18’s. I had two of each powder coated. I will probably run the 18 on the rear , 17 on the front. And put the 16’s on my rpu project.

dumb question, I assume you didn't need to shorten the drive shaft/tube with your tranny selection? I thought you had to shorten them with a V8 swap?
Great build, helps me a lot with my learning curve. I am slowly gathering parts.

Not a dumb question, yes i did have to shorten both . About 21” i think. Cant remember the exact measurement.
Thanks, good luck on your project!

Still here. Getting closer. Waiting on some distributor part to fire this baby up. Got the 17’s and 18’s mounted up. Painted some 32 hubcaps. Primed the body for the 2nd time, should be close to having it ready for paint. Pushing to have it done for LSR.

Funny how life seems to get in the way. Im still piddling along with this thing. Not really motivated to work on it at all lately. I dont know, it seems to come in spurts. Not really having any friends or people that are remotely interested in this old crap around here doesnt help me stay motivated. I know i shouldnt let it affect me. Anyway im rambling, sorry to the three people that will read this. Anyway. , i decided to clean the chassis up and roll it outside and take a couple pics. Maybe it might spark something inside me to get this thing finished. Hoping to make the bayou roundup this year.

Looks really great! A good way to stay motivated is to get a group text going with a couple friends to share progress with each other.. that helps me a lot

I don't have any help, but fortunate enough to do it all. I been a loner since coming home ant my cars are my therapy it's what's keeps me going, I work on them almost every day if it's only for a hour but the hours add up.
    Keep after it. Frank

I know what you mean. I've hit a wall while waiting for my engine, and have lost motivation too trying to find little things to do on mine.

Your build looks great. Seeing builds like this is motivation that I'll be there someday.

    Keep it up!

Just pick one thing and get it done. I expect to see you driving that thing at the Roundup. I am out here busting my ass in the heat getting mine done.

I think chassis shots like that are probably my favorite. What a killer hot rod in the making!

You have a lot in that pic to be motivated about man that's nice...Dayuum

I understand the lack of those interested in same...I get that feeling when I pull into cruises...and I am also a professional procrastinator...not proud of it but I am one...

Take as long as it takes...its quality not quantity...I'm glad your piddling around with it...wait till ya turn the key and stick it in gear...your journey is your journey...we appreciate it...;)

Clearly there's lot more than 3 of us following your build, and rooting you on!
I wish I had someone like you, close to me, so I could hang out and help.
I'm not a supremely talented guy, but I'd love to work on something cool like this, unfortunately funds for my project are non existent at the moment, so it's just sitting in the garage mocking me.
I've yet to see anything in your build that I would do differently.
    Love it!

I just went through your thread...your juggling a lot. I'd say your pretty damn good at it too. As I look at all you've done and it's actually quite remarkable...

I'm happy to say I've been following...and your like many of the builders who share here...you get it Big Time...Thanks @lodaddyo for the update...

There's several builds going on here at any given time and I never ever hold anyone accountable for delivering product...I appreciate what everyone's got to offer WHEN they have things to offer...I do however poke my nose into threads to whittle out updates here and there...;)

Come on man, you are so close to driving one bad ass hot rod. Just think of the smile on your face when you take that first drive. All that work will be worth it.
Keep posting on the HAMB, there is all the like minded guys you need right here, we will keep you motivated.
Your build was a big motivator when I was building mine. I always look forward to your updates, even small ones.
    Soooooo close!!!
