If I were spraying an entire car I would just buy it by the gallon at my local paint shop. i just need a quart or less and had a heck of a time trying to find a normal epoxy primer at 3 or 4 shops I asked about it. Has anyone used UPOL Raptor, eastwood, speedkote or summit?
I have used primer from these folks in a spray can. Also sell pints and qts. Give them a call. https://www.automotivetouchup.com/index.htm
Give them a call to make sure. I thought it was epoxy. There are spray cans of epoxy primer available. Look here: https://www.google.com/search?q=epo.....69i57j0l5.7927j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
I am surprised you can’t purchase epoxy primer in quarts. The shop I buy my supply’s from sells it that way. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
I used Eastwoods on one project. Wasn't that impressed with it. It was always sticky/gummy and a bitch to sand. Even called them and went over the process and I was doing everything right. Several months later it was "normal" and more what I expected. Talked to a few others on a message board that were having the exact same results as I was. Wouldn't buy it again. SPark
The NAPA I deliver for carries epoxy primer in quarts. I just did a new welding truck bed for my son in black epoxy. Used TranStar. Use a good respirator.
i did a 56 chrysler a couple years ago with eastwoods flat black two part epoxy no matter how many coats you could see the body filler underneath. alway's have used ppg's epoxy but it's getting expensive next car i'll use ppg . no such thing as cheap and good when it applies to paint. oh yea i would consider eastwoods paint JUNK
PPG shopline has quarts Also PPG has an industrial epoxy that works great. It’s the old DP, mixes 1:1 like it used too Runs me about $125 for a 2 gallon kit Look up TAMCO I like everything I have used from them
