Moose is the only one to show what they will look like. I think the angle ones look good. But before you decide, you have to strip both sides and lay them out and decide if you like domed or flat louvers . Then after they are punched you have to file all the sharp edges off prime and hand sand each Louver seal and one paint and if you don't lay the paint slick you have to color sand each Louver and polish them out or reclear it and hope it comes out better. There is a awful lot of hand work in it. I have been there and done it
That's a lot of hard work and I am sure the owner is proud of his/her car. Still, in my opinion, which I agree doesn't count because it is not my car: this says the owner tried to see how many louvers could fit on a panel, not how many would look good.
@Feo I was just snooping thru some threads and found this post that @curbspeed did to his louvered panels to channel moisture and look cool doing it......so this relates to my suggestion of a inner panel. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...-update-01-04-18.542263/page-34#post-12378874
Damn that's just send shivers down my spine. I did the louvers in my A because that was the period I was looking for. I have done them slanted and reversed, foreword and backwards. You can get real creative when you make a mistake when you mess up. Yes that is my license plate on my A.
Recently put 3 rows of louvers in my 32 cabriolet deck lid. Love the look! Wouldn’t have it any other way, louvers say HOT ROD!
@Feo, did you ever punch that Hood in lieu of Moose's Inspiration?...just curious, I believe there were 2 knockouts to choose from...
