Thanks for the H.A.M.B. pick and thank you so much for the kind words about Dean and I’s project. It’s been a great bonding experience for Dean and I for sure. We both appreciate everything that you’re doing to keep this scene going strong!! Can’t wait to share Dean’s feature H.A.M.B. shoot!!! Thanks for the support!!! Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Thanks for all the kind responses and words of encouragement! Jeff, I almost fell over when we hadn’t posted any pics of the blue and you posted an awesome piece of a 33 in a very similar blue. I told Dean “I guess you picked the right blue, it’s Norwell approved!!” Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
I keep going back and looking at the photos. The car is just so tidy and understated. A no nonsense hot rod. I like it, very much.
Cactus1, it was previously primer blue. We put an 8 on it later. We ran it at DOTD many times. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Chris did all of the work on that car and it came out great. He's a talented fabricator and has a good eye for aesthetics. The lines of the chop and overall look of the car are perfect. I am looking forward to Dean's roadster build - it's great to see a kid interested in these old cars.
Thanks for all the kind responses! Steve, thanks for all your support man, it really means a lot to Dean and I. Glad to call you a friend. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
"The right stuff!" Color is ideal, my Mom used to call it "Lavender Blue', for that slight tinge of purple in it. I painted my chopped '36 3 window this color...LOVELY!
Thank you for the kind comments and thank you @Ryan for letting me shoot for you! I really enjoyed it! Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
That car flat grows on you. Everything works together in unison to make the complete just so perfect package. Everything is there for a purpose and the extra detail in a couple of the pieces adds to the total effect rather than distracts. I've been eyeballing those colors mentioned and the other colors in that series every time I drive by the dealership or or see one on the street thinking that they would be fantastic traditional hot rod colors. Truth is that they probably don't cause serious budget damage to do either.
Many thanks for all the kind words! We can’t thank you all enough! This is a before and after that Dean put together. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
