OK 27Roadsterguy......"I gots to know"(Dirty Harry line) How much of a V do you think was cut into the yellow roadster frame? 2...3 inches? What are your plans? Never knew about V-ing the frame...I just ass-umed the body was kicked up real high in the back. Thanx....jus try'in to learn 6sally6
Being as that car is local, to St. Louis, I'll let ya know. At some point, I'm suppose to go look at it in person. I have a few friends that know the owner.

Have you thought about building a model of your idea? Might allow you to fine tune it before you try it in steel. Loving the build. Thanks for sharing!

I still have it. I've been collecting sheet metal patch pieces and scrounging for parts. I'm hoping to get to work on it this winter. I had shoulder surgery in the fall, which put me out of commission. Now I have a broken leg that I can't walk on. Let's just say I've had some rotten luck over the last 8 months or so... It will get finished, but in the mean time, it's at least stored indoors, out of the weather.

I absolutely love this , as I have dreams of building the same style T , someday. The Stoner T has been my screen saver on my computer for a while and certainly an inspiration ... can't wait to see how this one turns out !
Yeah, I hadn't seen that one, so thanks for the info. There are a lot of good photos from that build. You can clearly see how it takes very little frame "V" ing to get a rake that looks perfect.
I finally got to go see this car in person and you are correct, the body is lifted in the rear. I'm still planning to "V" the frame on mine. I'm still collecting parts at this point, hopefully this build can get moving soon...
Actually this illustrates my previous point...in my experience V-ing happens at 2 points; in front the firewall and again at the front crossmember... this way the crossmembers are still on the same plane just higher up...with one V you're going to have to build some kind of mondo trans tunnel inside and outside the trans will be sticking out.... not to mention pinion angle
