Took in the Cactus Jalopies Show in the hometown of Osoyoos this weekend. First time attending and I have to say it was great. Saw my friend Terry from @canadianhotrods magazine and had a good visit. The super famous Rust Bros were there oh and even some guy named Dave Kindig... Show is put on by @jfkustums JF Launier and his crew. Will be attending with the coupe next year for sure, well worth it for anyone who hasn’t visited that part of the country!!

Thanks for the pics. I enjoyed them. The fire engine car hauler was especially cool. First time that I have ever seen one.

Wow, lots of great stuff! Times 2 on that fire truck hauler, do you happen to remember what the drivetrain was? Thanks, Carp.

Didn’t see the motor at all. A ton of detail on it for sure though.

Thanks for the posting Fitnessguy. I always enjoy Canadian rides a lot. At Puyallup GG's the Canadian Coral in the past is a do not miss.

Thanks man, there were lots of Washington and Idaho cars up too. That's one of the things that's the best about the hobby. Brings people together!

  15. I really liked the hauler myself. There is a similar(remotely similar) one on the Stovebolt trucks for sale right now. It is a tanker truck and is claimed to have a small 6 cyl in it. I think the motor they were looking at was for the pump but who knows. It's for sale cheap and you will never see another. Sorry for the stray from the thread, I just love these old trucks.. Again, nice pictures and killer back ground for the show

An Albertan in Osoyoos?! ;) ha ha my family all laughs, Osoyoos is 80% Albertans in the summer. That's how BC gets most of Alberta's oil money, you guys all coming to the Okanagan for the summer! Has she been there a long time? My Mother's side of the family dates back to some of the first settlers that came to the region. Big chunk of the area used to be the family ranch. If only the family still owned the land!! :D

They've only been out there for 5 years. Escaped the snow immediately upon retirement. Yup, anytime I've been there, it's full of Albertans my age visiting their retired parents, lol.

Do they have drag races at the Osoyoos airport on the same weekend?

Unfortunately no! My wife was out of town so I had the kids with me and needless to say we don’t all fit in the coupe! Next year for sure!

Yes they had racing on Sunday. Had to get on the road Sunday morning so didn’t stay for the racing. Heard it was good though, saw quite a few race cars throughout town on Saturday
