Projects 41 olds rear needs to go lower....

    I know this probably been brought up 100s of times.. how do I lower my rear coil springs.... the clamps on springs only took down like a 1” do not want to use heat... any old tricks? Thanks guys

    You can cut the springs go a little at a time doesnt take much. My 41 is on coilovers now but i had it pretty low before i put a different motor trans and rear in it.
     
  3. Are the coil springs pig tailed or straight top to bottom.

    You can look in the Moog catalog and find a spring from a modern car that fits but is shorter.( I found 80’s regal springs worked in my 55 Buick)

    I have heard of guys cutting pig tailed spring and making a large cup that can be bolted down to hold the spring in place.

    Those spring clams deals are junk and not worth the aggravation.

    They are pig tailed I was thinking of a cup to have them sit on..
