Hey guys just recently joined and hope to get some tips for working on my 51 ford coupe. I'm 14 and it was passed down from my grampa. You might think I'm a dumb kid but trust me I'm not I've been wrenching with my grampa since I was 8.

That's a pretty good question lol my grampa had done a lot to it like body paint chrome 12v conversion etc but I put new rear shocks in it and it needs new leaf springs other than that, a 2x2 intake and some small things just to finish it up.

Start looking in the old magazines. There were lots of those as high school cars in the late 50’s with cool wheel covers fender skirts etc that are bolt on that won’t damage the car.

Welcome to the forums. Just because your 14 don’t matter to us. We are glad to see young people keeping these things around and keeping the history alive. I’m only 31 and to some people think I’m a young kid too. Keep us posted on the progress
