I’ve been side tracked with the ranch trying to get it ready to go to a wedding next weekend but damnit If the pump seal sprung a leak on the trans. I’m kinda bummed but have a fix it plan. I drove it to work today to see just how much is leaking it’s like a trans fluid fertilizer :p I got the removable exhaust tips welded in which quieted down the cab. I also replaced about 15 feet of brake line... and 4 new Goodyear Custom Super Cushion tires. I literally had no tread on one rear firestone that I pulled off ha/ got my money’s worth out of those skins.!

Hoping this week to have the rear axle welded back up and axle ends in!

    Happy Monday-!

Judging by those cool burnouts you had videotaped in the recent past, these new tires will be a needed touch, and look great in doing so!!

I have a set of their polyglas gt L60's and F60's on my off topic 66 chevelle and am truly amazed with the quality. Are the wide white tires as nice??

The axle is all welded up and I got one axle in before having to go to work today. Looking forward to having it a roller again.

Then back to the chrome reverse, mounting the body and planning out the chrome headers.
Besides finishing the chrome wheels I'm looking forward to the headers the most...

    So good-

Here’s some shots from yesterday- I did get a few hours in the shop and went after two wheels- plan to drop these off for chrome by the end of the week. I moved the valve stems because I didn’t want to mess with having to clock the wheel with the drum... it would look cool with inside stems but it’s just not gonna work well with these big ass finned drums.

I put a starter in the ranch and have really fallen in love with the Goodyear’s on this thing-

Hi @Tuck. Wanted to thank you for the fantastic build thread. I just flew thru it in the last week. Have you gotten back on the roadster at all? Hope you and the girls are well.

I always thought the DeSoto bumpers looked perfect on 57-58 Fords. Did one back in 1959 on a blue 57 hardtop. Happy Thanksgiving Frank 4449B720-96B4-4A1A-B2A7-0CA75130C2E7.jpeg

    Stogy,

Right now I’m like a ground hog in my hole while I get my feet back underneath me…. Going though a two-one down shift in my life… all is well though, just need to slow down before I mash on the pedal again.

Roadster is still very much on deck just haven’t touched it because of this… soon though I’ll be back. Going to drop my heads off with Ron Flood here soon.

    Miss you dudes,
    ❤️
