    1963 Mark II Mystery Motor

    When General Motors followed the AMA recommendation to cease involvement in any form of racing in early 1963, they closed the door on this car, an RPO Z-33 Mk II "Mystery Motor" 427 1963 Biscayne.

    A pair of 750 cfm AFB carbs adorns the only Mark II dual four-barrel intake manifold known to exist. The compression ratio is about 12.5:1. A custom roller camshaft actuates the valves in the stock heads. Note the stock NASCAR factory cast-iron, tubular exhaust manifolds. Each side exits into four round pipes then a four-inch diameter collector.

    Stock suspension, steering wheel, seats, column shift auto, 10" tyres. 3340lbs with cage. 53rd T-Bolt built.
    9.23sec @ 151mph. I'd be happy with that. :)
