Not sure about who makes one that will fit. There’s not much room there. I have the similar situation and used Sanderson Lakesters to avoid the tight confines.
I'm running Reds Headers 49 - 51 ford headers and they clear but are really tight. There is about 1/2 " clearance between the header and steering box.
Jim @ Reds Headers built mine and they fit perfectly. My combination is unsplit wishbone, 32 cross member, F1 box in original location. Jim may remember the ordeal it was to make them but I think he made a pattern.
Thanks for info guys wondering if Havlir house of fabrication in Va still makes them or if anyone has used them
Red's Headers did the ones in my buddy's '30 AV8 with an F1 box. Took a long time to get because of a lack of fabricators/welders but the wait was worth it. 62400 Chiriaco Rd, Chiriaco Summit, CA 92201 (760) 343-2590 www.reds-headers.com
I just received my Red's headers for an F-1 box in an AV8 and they fit perfectly. They are pricey but they are high quality and much better than what I was expecting. I have an 8BA in a model A frame with an F-1 box in the original position. Well worth the money. I ordered them 4 days ago and got them today. Very happy. They also make one for an F100 application which is different so know what you have prior to ordering. you won't be dissappointed.
