@Binger Such great footage John and wish I could shed some light on it. I don't think the number 33 car in that video is the legendary T-33 of Cal Kennedy and Don Scroggs. If we get a chance this weekend at the Dirt Drags we should show it to Cal and some other DTA members and see if they might know. Great stuff for sure.

I have looked at this some more. Studied real close and I want to amend my date.....
It could be Pre-War, Early War, Wartime or immediate Post War.
All cars and trucks shown are pre-war.
The helmets do not appear to be surplus.....no ear phones.
    Not a Jeep in sight.
    Women's hair and clothing....Early 40s.
There is at least 2 uniformed army personnel. An officer is shooting film early in the video. An Army enlisted man helps push off a spun out car about 3/4 of the way through.

    I'm thinking 41. At the latest 46.

There were several Pikes Peak tracks through the years going back to the 1800s. The one shown may be the one that opened in 1938.

    More appropriate music....

My guess would be from 1949 to 1955, the guys are having fun.

Amazing to think that back then, they were racing those cars because they were plentiful and cheap.

How much does someone spend now to get one?

This should be required viewing for people wondering how to build a correct looking roll bar for TROG.
