Thank you. Are you running those same size tires on your current build? The one that you just posted the side view of.

akoutlaw, the rear tires on my current build was changed to Cooper 30x9.5 50R 15LT as shown on the photos. I installed the larger ones on the red 32 coupe. They are LT 285/75R/16. When I build 2 or 3 cars at the same time, I switch things around to improve the looks on them. Here's a better view of the larger tire on the coupe.

1946caddy, thanks for that information, but that would involve too much to repair. If and when I correct it, I would order a chopped shell, grille, and radiator.

Hi Bill , send me some photos of your progress. I started my new build the 31 Model A coupe about a week ago and will the chassis finished as soon as I can find a nine inch rear end assembly.

I switched out the rear tires with the new ones that I bought for my new project, 1931 Ford Coupe. These are the same as on my 32 red coupe. I like the looks of them.

It is hard to find a tire anymore that has a good looking tread pattern. I really like those and the car.

Seen some more pics of it tonight. A little too much in the body work dept. for me. I guess it's back to the drawing board.

I added up all my tickets for the build and the cost of the chop and got a price for the coupe. I came up with $28,500.

Looks good and mean, the meatier tires on the rear made a world of difference.

Hi Mike, I decided to sell my 31 Ford coupe project that I just started. Its listed in Classifieds under "cars for sale". I'm going to build another 32 Ford roadster instead.

Thanks edcj7, the headers are by Patriot. I bought them thru Speedway and added the baffles so they wouldn't be too loud. Drives the neighbors crazy when their walls vibrate. ha They are a little pricey at $708. and baffles $98.

  29. drop the shell down on the radiator and shim the body up at the firewall and you'll be set.

Hi John, its not as easy as you make it sound. First off, the radiator is sitting on top of the cross member. There is no space between the top of the radiator to lower it without lowering both in front of the cross member , which would make it ugly by moving it forward maybe 4 inches. Then I would have to lengthen everything. I will not raise the body up, I like it the way it sets. It would be easier as I stated in an earlier reply to install a shortened shell, grille, and radiator. Which for the small amount of height of the shell, I will not do. This is not a show car, its a driver.
