I knew Jerry for years, one of our hobby's true characters. He knew everybody and always had a joke to tell. Please don't change a thing! Mick
Nice 3 window! If it were stick shift it would be perfect for me. I guess I could overlook that, because everything else is Perfect. Good luck with her.
You just have to change one thing.... your name on the title! What an excellent looking ride, have fun with it!
After clean her up this weekend and gettin to know it better I will leave it as it is and drive and show her. Frank
Your comment on the WW tires is your opinion, and opinions are like assholes, everybody has one And the '40 standard hubcaps? If this beautiful '36 hasn't undergone a change of brake drums and hubs, it has the large bolt circle wheels.
Regardless of which hubcaps, the red wheels and whitewall delete will make it a much cleaner looking car. Opinion is sometimes related to fact.
Red wheels and whitewalls used to be overdone. Now black wheels and blackwalls are overdone. I like them either way. This was built with red and white.....keep it like it was built! Thank you.
With a car like that, you aren't the owner. You are it's most recent caretaker. Great score, wouldn't change a thing on it. SPark
Very very nice! I do like 36's. I'm with everyone else on the leave it as is band wagon., BUT you can always change wheel and tire combo and keep the set that's on the car. Change it up every once in awhile. I have a set of red wheels with caps and rings and I have a set of halibrand clones for my 32. I change them for a different look quite often.
I am leaning towards some skirts and a set of caddy sombreros with red wheels and wide whites but dang it it’s not my car!!- wish it was- she’s a beauty- congrats to you for bringing it home - have fun Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Auto archeology at its finest , I too would preserve it in its present state. Congrats ! That’s a case where the stars were aligned for ya! Flux
I'd idle over to CHIP Foose's, say hello...and see if he could fit a pair of skirts to this beauty. ...Have him match paint with some of his Dad's 'Deep Black'... This car is JUST like Carol Doda. "The PERFECT 36"!
That really is a beautiful coupe. I absolutely love 36 Fords, I think they’re the nicest of the 35-38 model years. Ford really created a timeless classic in the 36 models. If I do another build it will be a toss up between a 32 5 window or a 36 coupe. Maybe I’ll buy one if I can find one as nice.
And the best part is "wheels go on wheels come off". I'm thinking the red wheel, no hubcap/whitewall deal is overdone too and it took me years to accept hubcaps in any form, must be the hot rodder in me, never been much of a custom guy I guess. I must be softening in my old age, the combination on this car works for me for some odd reason. Very classy looking 36.
It would be hard to change anything on the car that wasn't broke. Old rubber qualifies as broke. Congratulations on your new car.
What a great car. I haven't seen it for a long time, but I remember it well. Glad to see it's in good hands.
I knew Jerry and his wife Charlotte, great people. I used to talk cars with Jerry. Charlotte was a sweetheart
Man....beautiful car..I wouldn't change a damn thing. Not even the license plates. Those blue and yellow personalized plates have been on that car at least 40 years or more...about half its life.
