I've been to the LARS twice and GNRS twice, do the car owners get a reserved parking spot, or do you just try to get the same spot every year? I just noticed a few cars I really liked are always in the same spot year after year. Bob
What photos would you like? This is not as dumb of a question as it sounds at first. Hopefully there will be a good turn out and if anyone wants some specific photos they should request them. Maybe a Model A coupe with wide five wheels? etc. Charlie Stephens
Photos of the rare speed equipment in the swap meet is always nice to see. I enjoy the cars in the swap meet just as much as the finished cars on display. Bob
I never miss it been going since early 70's. My ARDUN 32 roadster will be there For Sale. Want to get another Highway car.
That one is going to be on the bucket list for a while longer but it sure isn't go for the want to go thing. Lots of photos please and this time of the roadsters in the show and not just the stuff in the swapmeet area.
My Grandson & I will be there unless my flight from Paris on the 12th is canceled or delayed. Going to Normandy for 75th "D" Day Anniversary. (Pic is not "D" Day - C-123 over Camp Mackall, NC, May 1961)
I'll be there swap meet Friday Saturday, Selling a lot, Rear Ends, wheels, headlights, springs, spindles, gauges and more !!! My shop is 2 blocks away if anyone wants to buy early.
For everyone going to the roadster exhibition, keep in mind that the buildings will no longer be used. We will be out in the open like the old times. Unlike the old times, shade will be at a premium. The fair people have removed many of the trees we sought to park under. I don't know if canopies will be allowed but umbrellas or sun shade of some type are recommended for sure. Since no buildinngs, vendors will have to supply their own shade. It's great to have the club back in charge! I hope we have lots of people at the Saturday night feed this year. Last year was dreadful. I'm counting down the days!
In 1979 I purchased the body, frame and sheet metal for my '34 roadster at the LARS at the old Great Western Exhibition Center. Will be there again this year to celebrate 40 years of ownership.
