News about severe weather and tornadoes in Missouri.
One apparently in Carl Junction, that's next door to MoKan Dragway.
    I think there's a few HAMB'ers in the Joplin/Springfield and surrounding areas.
Same date 8 years ago that devastating twister hit Joplin. Hope everyone is safe

The one that went though Jeff City last night was about 8 miles south of me.

  4. Last year was unusually quiet on the severe storms front, particularly here in the Midwest. This year seems to be making up for it, and it looks to be at least another week of this, off and on, from Texas up through Illinois and from eastern Colorado all the way to the East Coast. Help out wherever you can, and support your first responders and utility crews, who may be deployed hundreds of miles away from their homes for weeks.

We had one hit the edge of Pittsburg, it dropped down about a 1/4 mile from my house. It's been an interesting couple days and my heart goes out to my neighbors who were hit.

In the past two weeks we've had at least 4 confirmed tornadoes within 5 miles of our home. It's been pretty wild.

I don't really like the heat of summer, but I'm looking forward to clearing the spring storm season this year.

  11. Lots of nasty weather in Sedalia last night, beautiful today. No damage here, but tornadoes close by. I sat on the deck and watched the storm pass. It was pretty wicked!

I hope all you MO/KS/OK guys stay safe. The missus and I are in Hilton Head but we realize that it is springtime in the midwest and we all understand what that brings.

    Keep your heads down.

Anybody know about Ryno? The storm went through his neighborhood.
