Any updates? Love this thing!

 

No forward progress lately. I did however fire the Turd up last weekend. Still purrs like
new. I had to get a "Flatty Fix" to keep the motivation alive.

I still have the Thunderturd. It is sleeping in a barn. No electricity in the barn, so it is resting.
It is still for sale, but no one with any tools/talent around here !! ??
Life is getting out of my way recently, and I hope to get this project off the ground soon. Time will tell. One kid out of college, one kid graduated and is now heading to Grad. school, and the youngest is a Senior in High School and will be heading to college in the Fall.
It is a great concept that I am saddened that I just haven't gotten to it.

This car actually went back to it's birthplace. After years of a stalled project, the original builder contacted me and was ready to get it back and complete the project.

Several years have passed since last update. I suspect we won't get to see this neat concept completed.

Dang. I liked the concept and was anxious to see it done.

 

Hamber Marshallal has had the car back for one year and has been working on it. He dropped me a note that he is done until Fall. He has done some additional modifications to the wheelbase and Hood/Cowl.
If I can find the most current Pix; I will post them.

Ford of France had a similar idea...

 

That's a Ford Comete, sold by Ford of France circa '52-54. There was a thread about these on the HAMB in 2006; search "Ford Comete".

The Old Girl has been taken to the next level, but unfortunately the Thunderturd is For Sale again by the original designer/creator. Here are a couple of Pix. of it right now.

All we can do now is hope someone on here takes this project on and take it to the completion that it deserves so we can follow its progress.
