Build a cool Art Deco Trailer

Discussion in 'The Antiquated' started by Built2Drive, Jan 15, 2019.

  1. I built this very cool Art Deco Trailer to pull behind my 39 Chevy and take to shows, hauls all my tailgating junk, My wife and I can sleep comfortably in it and we just love the attention we get The Washington blue one is mine. The red one belongs to one of my buddys, Cool woody conbo !!! The woodgrain is a vinyl wrap from a local sign shop. View attachment 4159356 . Weighs 800 lbs I roll at 75 MPH all the time on the interstates and have taken it all up and down the east coast It comes as a fiberglass kit you build yourself

Where do you find the fiberglass sides?

  4. Go To AeroluxTrailers.com if you have basic woodworking skills you can build one of these trailers, The website is having difficulties with navigating, here is a tip place your pointer just above the tab on the header and it will highlight the tab in red then click and it will open the tab. There is a contact us form. They ship side kits, trailer frames, and all the hardware that you need a lot of the materials are home depot purchased, Kits are cheap too !!!

That is just Buck Rogers cool!

  6. I'm building a galley/Kitchen in the back of mine this spring, and I'm going to add this little HVAC unit on the tongue that they make just for small trailers it will ft inside the tongue. That way I can camp early spring to late fall comfortable. I want to start doing more camping when I go to the shows and less hoteling.

  7. Those trailers are cool. HRP

Wow, that is super cool. I'd be interested in seeing interior photos too.

  9. There is a kit for sale in the Antiquated Classifieds section now, page 1.

  10. here are some pics of the interior just covered in plywood, I've attached some pics for the kitchen/Galley design but I have not settled on my design yet, with the galley in the back you can still put a queen size mattress inside for sleeping, I put a well in the floor to store a spare tire, tools and the misc stuff you dont want rolling around when traveling IMG_1926.JPEG
