    Hello all,

I have dismantled the 331 engine from my 52 Cadillac and found this cam in it.

It looks like some sort of after market performance cam.

The markings are CWC and 146B and 027

Has anyone any idea as to what cam this is and it's specs ? IMG_0658.JPG IMG_0659.JPG

My guess is that’s a factory cam and the CWC is the foundry mark from where it was cast.
The numbers ....an identifier of some sort.

I'm guessing those are cam blank markings before it is ground, since they are in the casting. Cam Mfr would most likely have stamped number on the end surface.

Mike the dimension at the nose of the lobe and subtract the diameter of the base circle. That will give you the lobe lift and from that you can determine if the valve lift is at factory spec or greater.
