    Hello all,

I am new to all of this and learning as I go. I recently purchased a Dodge 318 and an A904 transmission to install in my 53 Cranbrook. I know nothing of transmissions. I’m assuming the transmission is in good shape and does not need a rebuild. What I would like advice on is as follows:

What gaskets or seals do I need to purchase to prepare the transmission to be attached to the engine? I do have a new torque converter.

Any videos or guides you would recommend I review?

    Thanks all!

And don't be surprised if you end up having to rebuild the transmission...I treat every used transmission as a core that needs to be redone, unless I know for sure it's history.

If you are new to this, make sure you have and have adjusted proper kickdown linkage installed. If not your transmission will have a short life!
