    Beautiful truck, congratulations.

Hate to say it but I like the flat bottom more than the truck. Another beauty. Love to have one.

Thanks Lee, there is still some of your yellow striping in the door jambs and on the hood. I don't think the hood has been on it in a very long time. someone had broke into the building where it and the delivery were stored and it looks like the hood got stepped on....

  4. Damnit Mark, now I need to plan another trip to Minnesota to see the new arrival. Last time I was there, you had two boats...and only TWO cars in the living room!

    You still got it made!

going to be a little while on that one, 50 years sitting really takes a toll on everything that held fluids......I got some work to do. pulled the fuel tand yesterday and it is nasty inside... I gotta save it thoug because it has Lee Pratt pinstriping on it!! @El Pratt

If you need to boil it out, just drive it down south and have Lee stripe it again.

Being an Iowan, I've been told that Jim was extremely talented and a stand up guy. Glad you got the truck!

Will you be documenting all of the work on the pickup? I would like to see the process to doing a historical piece while maintaining the past work.

Pretty boring work really. Just rebuilding wheel cylinders and master cylinder and cleaning the fuel tank and carbs etc....doesn't really seem post worthy to me.....

It has been with the builder Jim Mcfall the entire time. He passed away a couple of years ago and I purchased it from the estate. It was in heated storage for almost 50 years. It looks real good but there is paint checking and bodywork bleed but overall is a wonderful truck and a true period piece. I am thrilled to get to own it

Congratulations. I would love to see it sometime. It is just so finished. Nice to see the real article instead of someone's idea of what a car from that time period looked like.

Mark, you don't strike me as being a pick up man. I look forward to seeing pics with a bed full of plants at Lowe's! ha ha

Congrats Mark! What a great addition to your collection. All the Sixties goodies; SW gauges, T style fuel block, white headers made with a flange kit, finned aluminum everywhere. What 5 spokes are on it? And all the biscuits! rolls n pleats! Takes me back to the Tridents cars shows here in L.A.......
P.S. That little T coupe is a sweetie too!

It has ET wheels on it. The lug nuts are very thin with a 5/8” shank

Pat Ganahl's @pgan book Lost Hot Rods has a great write up. Get yourself a copy. If you're into things like this (long-lost hot rods and customs) you'll love it.

This latest discovery is super cool - congrats Mark. I can't recall seeing this truck, never met him personally but I sure do remember Jim McFall's sedan delivery. When it came to car interiors, folks in the know said a McFall interior was as good as it got. :)

Here's a pic of Pat at his booking signing at Aero Books in Burbank, Ca. Great book! Not just saying it because my Merc is in it. LOL!
