Technical Kingpin bushings

Putting in my kingpin bushings I thought I had the grease holes lined up but I didn't. The holes don't look too far off, but they aren't coming out with a fight, can I drill a new hole instead?

X2-carefully.

 

You bet, and clean up the burrs when done.

And connect your new hole to the groove inside the bushing if you missed by that much.

 

How flush do they need to sit in the spindle

The bushings are shorter than the spindle boss, so it should sit down from both directions so nothing rubs the bushing edge.
