I haven't had much time to work on the car but I am gathering some cool old parts!

A 60's Fairbanks trans, Eelco hydraulic pedal, Davco Frankenstein magneto and some mickey magnesium valve covers.

I have been juggling this gorilla of a body trying to get everything to line up and I finally threw in the towel and decided to start fresh.
I knew that this day was going to come and I fought it the whole way but it is the ONLY way to build this car properly with rebuilding the A-B pillars if I want the body lines and doors to line up.

Have we meet the guy that gets all your leftover parts & pieces? Doors are looking good. Bob

But you seem to always be working miracles with leftover parts and pieces. Its hard to imagine there's anything remaining! :) Seriously, though, keep up the amazing work!

    Hey D,
I just had a phone conversation with Donnie Johansen, yesterday. We were discussing some old drag racing facts for an interesting future posting, once I get my busy act together. But, I need your help. He told me that he does not do emails or such. So, since we discussed me sending some HD digital movie files to him, is there a way that someone at the business you visited, does have an email address? Digital files can easily be sent via business email system, not the ordinary email system. I forgot to ask him that question as we rolled into the next topic quickly.

If possible, please pm me with the address if there is such a person or email address. It is a lot easier than sending files through the regular U.S. Mail system, or even UPS system.

    Thanks,
    Jnaki

Your build is pretty neat, with excellent work. You would have gone bananas over the remains of our burned out, empty, 1940 Willys Coupe that we left at a scrap yard near Lions Dragstrip back in 1960.

Is another visit to his shop in the near future?

I will be heading out to his shop sometime soon to pick up my Hemi.

Anything you need, I am happy to help.

Thanks to my pal at Hillside hot rods, I now have the most impossible to find piece to my car, 41 rear inner fenders.

40 and 41 are different since the frame is wider, so they adjusted the inner fenders to compensate.

It just so happened that my transporter from Florida that is bringing me parts today was passing through Louisiana at around the same time that I was buying my inner fenders.

This week I got all of my Olds rear parts back with pumpkin rebuilt and housing ends welded on with race axles and I decided to change directions and go with a 60's Halibrand champ floating rear end.
