Well as my "A" build comes to an end mechanical wise (not paint and body ect, ect) I found something I couldnt turn down. A "T"cowl and windshield frame. Im not 100% on year (any input would be appreciated).

So now that you know what I've recently bought its only natural I tell you the plan for it. I'm thinking of building an early Ford speedster either banger powered (most likely banger) or maybe even another 21 stud in my growing hottod family ;) I'm thinking building it on a T frame. As always I will update as I go. This being a more long term build as I have an A to get running right now and a little miss on the way ;)

  5. Looks like the beginning of a T C cab to me. Kind of like a Model T mini van for soccer mom's. :D

Woodie style sedan delivery.....only use rectangular steel tube instead of wood. Size the steel tubing to the size the wood would normally be.

Please don’t use a T frame. I know they are cheap but in the long run an A frame is a better foundation to build on.

  10. Why use a closed car cowl for a speedster? Seems like a more common roadster or touring set up would be more speedster friendly.

Well rather then build one. I was blessed with some wonderful financial timing. And found this 27 T off a good friend of mine :) Runs drives and stops. Couldn’t ask for much more

Turn it into a TT truck with a flatbed, or a short wheel base delivery and use it for hauling stuff.

I was going to say woody, but I hate wood work.
You release that these cowls were also used as Model A closed cab pickups, so if you can find a pair of doors the rest can be purchased repro to put a closed cab pickup body together, which also gives you the option to use a Model A chassis.

I would encourage you not to consider a T chassis of a hot rod build...

  21. I don't like the color of it.

I got a close look at the old T-urd this evening. Some of us are missing a whole lotta fun.

I think he’s missing that you have an entire car and it’s not just the original cowl you got. I’d just keep this thread going.

It’s true! I saw him prowling around. I knew better than to risk my safety so I stayed in my car.
