That looks just like my Grandparents car, which was bought by a high school classmate of mine (by the name of Donny Edelton) in Richmond, Va. in the late 'Sixties! (Same car?)

My slow but sure moving build thread here under “53 150 build” . Same family since 1953. 5 generations of fathers & sons. E9786E40-7E0E-4D23-ADF6-2099D8140D13.jpeg B45F8575-7E4B-4F44-8AAB-3BF823CCB7FA.jpeg

Bring this one back from the dead.
Recently picked up a '53 150 sedan. All stock save for a 12v conversion. Hasn't ran in 5+ years or something like that and it needs some TLC but hopefully I can rip through it and have a summer beater in short order.

IMG_5285.jpg 20230420_230847.jpg Still hanging on to mine, havent driven since 2019 or so... Waiting on me to swap a 261, Dual carbs, exhaust, T5 & 57 Chevy rear end in & finish the metal work. "Ran when parked", just got to many damn projects & not enough time or money syndrome..

    Well this is awkward.

The '53 turned out to be a lot tougher than I'd hoped. At least two, probably three, different owner's worth of fiberglass covered 75% of the floor pans and all of them were trying to make their escape. One quarter and the panel below the trunk (as well as the trunk floor) very crusty and full of filler. Of course this didn't stop me before I spent a bunch of time pulling and resealing the 235 as well as rebuilding/lowering the front suspension.
"Best laid plans" or perhaps "A fool and his money"

At any rate, I lucked out and landed myself a coupe and everything I'd bought or rebuilt or spit-shined more or less ended up on it so...the chaos works?
