That Roadster body of mine did get sold to a guy who showed up on my door step one day. He never did a thing to it other than move it twice. He gave it back to me 25 years later in exchange for moving some of his stuff to Massachusetts, happy to have it back. :) Bob

My dad restored the cabriolet in 1980. He's had the model A since 1963, in the 1990's he restored it to the way it was when he first put it together. Due to a medical condition he has vision loss, so neither has seen the road. 20140331_214232.jpg

Reminds me of the time I went to a yard sale where there was an incredibly nice stock 34 Ford 5 window in the garage. I asked the man running the sale ( he had to be at least in his nineties) what would it take to buy the 34. He replied "its not for sale. I'm going to restore it one of these days". I often wonder what happened to that 34. The owner would have to be over a 100 by now. I probably should have stayed on top of this one.

  17. Looking at the above post, there were days when I would have been flabbergasted at the thought anyone could let something so nice go to wrack and ruin. Then my daughters got married to snowflakes and became snowflakes and now I look at the nice stuff we have given them and I see how it happens.

  18. My 57 Lloyd "future gasser" sat behind my privacy fence [in photo] for 10 years. Was so humid it rusted really bad. Finally sold it off 3 years ago....damn. lloydontrailer.jpg

I owned this altered A for a little bit - one of those cars with unknown history that changed hands a bunch of times. Pretty rough and cobbled together but it must've been fun in its day. There's probably an old thread about the car somewhere - it belonged to other Hambers before me.

Best part of the car was that it had an early 9" axle under it with a '65 dated 4.10 equa lock diff. Wonder if its still around anywhere?
